Our progress continues. The Stellarium package worked seamlessly with the Celestron 130 GT and we can now point and control the telescope with the laptop.
We’ll be testing this next in the field on the next clear night to see how well it works in a real scenario. It was very surprising to see how easily this all connected and worked!
This didn’t happen without a lot of work to get all these parts together. We’ll be working hard to get to regular observations with this setup to insure we have a good working knowledge before we get into a permanent observatory setup.
