The goal of this observatory, above all else, is to show that a handicapped person can build and operate a successful observatory. While my handicap is not debilitating, it keeps me from standing for long periods of time and requires me to adapt to what my body will tolerate.
I believe anyone can enjoy the stars no matter what their condition is and that astronomy should be accessible to everyone. Our goal is to insure that people see this and are inspired to either overcome their own limitations or to help someone that is handicapped to see their first planet, galaxy or double-star and bring the universe closer to them…
